About The Position

Liberty Military Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform general and specialized maintenance and repairs in a multi-family residential community. This role involves operating building systems and equipment to meet Liberty Military Housing's quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, perform quality work safely, and deliver exemplary service. This position is crucial in maintaining homes and community spaces to ensure resident satisfaction.

Requirements

Two or more years of related experience required.
Intermediate level understanding and experience in basic trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, appliance repair.
Communication and effective interaction with co-workers, managers, vendors, or residents.
Advanced skills regarding the operation of small hand and electrical tools, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and small machinery repair.
Extensive knowledge of appliances.
Basic computer skills (able to operate mobile device, PC).
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle or electrical cart.
Must be available for regular on-call work assignments/emergency calls, work scheduled off-hours, and emergency overtime as required.
Ability to arrive at the property for service requests within 60 minutes.
Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities.
Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs.
Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
Extensive walking and standing.
Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders.
Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, in all weather conditions, and potentially hazardous conditions.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Nice To Haves

HVAC and EPA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance, installation, and repairs on plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, appliance repair, and electrical systems.
Apply proficient skills in at least two of the following trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, appliance repair.
Perform installations, service repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks in homes, common areas, grounds, and community spaces.
Complete resident-requested repairs and services within the required timeframe (24 hours).
Complete all assigned maintenance work on vacant homes within LMH standards.
Perform on-call service requests and emergency calls.
Participate in routine inspections, including QC, move-in, preventative maintenance, machinery, and appliance inspections.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of common areas, maintenance shop, trash removal, and snow removal (if applicable).
Maintain and update all assigned service requests using Yardi Mobile until completion and closure.
Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on homes, community, and/or common areas to the supervisor.
Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery.
Participate in and attend various department or regional meetings, resident or community events, seminars, and other work-related events.
Comply with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety, or environment, and LMH Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
Understand and follow safe work practices for all trades, including Lockout Tag-out, Confined Space Entry, use of hazardous chemicals, use of Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety, and working from Elevated Surfaces.
Operate a company or personal vehicle to travel to various locations for work purposes.
