Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on maintenance or construction experience required.
- Skills & Abilities: Strong general maintenance background, including working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems.
Nice To Haves
- Appliance repair, general construction background, and prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with Adult Foster Care (AFC) licensing rules, MSHDA, or similar regulatory standards is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Maintain & Repair: Tackle general repairs, basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, appliances, cabinetry, and light construction.
- Prioritize & Organize: Manage, track, and complete incoming work orders based on urgency, safety, and facility needs.
- Inspect & Prevent: Identify maintenance needs early to avoid major disruptions; keep accurate logs of inspections and repairs.
- Lead & Collaborate: Guide and support Maintenance I staff, assist with scheduling, and recommend when to bring in specialized external contractors.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain properties in line with safety codes and licensing standards (such as Adult Foster Care regulations).
