About The Position

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the 3rd shift to ensure the robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement. This role involves performing general maintenance, assisting with new equipment implementation, and collaborating with team members to solve equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions. The technician will also be responsible for diagnosing failed components, working with voltages up to 480V, and utilizing a digital voltmeter (DVM).

Requirements

2-3 years of maintenance experience
Ability to interpret electrical schematics
Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals

Nice To Haves

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components experience
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.

Responsibilities

Performing general maintenance of all equipment.
Assisting in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
Performing thorough work and follow-through on repairs through feedback from internal customers.
Communicating with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
Diagnosing failed components and safely working on voltages up to 480V.
Properly using a digital voltmeter (DVM).
Coordinating equipment updates and operational issues with off-shift maintenance personnel and other team members.
Attending outside training and seminars for continual education.
