About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician II, you operate independently across multiple trades. You complete service requests, preventative maintenance, and full turns with confidence while helping maintain high operational standards across the property. This role requires skilled repairs and diagnostics, including independently completing service requests and make-ready turns, diagnosing and repairing intermediate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, and conducting preventative maintenance and building inspections. It also involves operational execution such as participating in move-in/move-out inspections, maintaining inventory and shop organization, and responding to on-call and emergency service requests. Additionally, the role emphasizes safety, tools, and compliance, requiring the demonstration of safe operation of tools, diagnostic equipment, and chemical safety procedures, maintaining personal tool inventory, and completing required safety and compliance training. This role may include additional duties consistent with the position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years maintenance experience required (multifamily preferred).
  • Intermediate-level skills across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of appliances.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Comfortable diagnosing routine HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
  • Ability to complete full make-ready turns independently.
  • Safe use of meters and diagnostic tools.
  • Proficient with work-order systems and basic computer and mobile technology.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.

Nice To Haves

  • Universal EPA Certification is preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification is preferred (where applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Independently complete service requests and make-ready turns.

  • Supports and guide Technician I team members when needed.
