Maintenance Technician II (Buckingham Apartments)
About The Position
WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join their team at Buckingham Apartments, an 82-unit multifamily affordable residential community in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves performing maintenance functions in rental units, common areas, office, grounds, and parking lots. The position requires technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills to maintain properties and ensure resident satisfaction. The selected candidate will typically work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a rotational on-call schedule every two weeks. The pay range for this position is $25.32 to $27.21 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of apartment maintenance experience.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
- Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
- Ability to speak and understand basic English.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
Nice To Haves
- Vocational or technical training.
- Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT).
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and make repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
- Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance with company standards.
- Perform maintenance service orders associated with the preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspection, and annual unit inspection.
- Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
- Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.
