About The Position

Joining our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant such as preventative maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs, plumbing repairs, and changes of building equipment. You will have the added benefit of face-to-face interaction with our residents routinely while completing assigned work orders!

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Proven experience as maintenance technician
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, general maintenance processes and methods
  • Proficiency in HVAC and plumbing
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and schematics
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort
  • May be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain)
  • Work in area with high voltage electricity, hazardous equipment and moving parts
  • Work on roof top and other high places
  • Ability to set up and climb ladders safely with tools and equipment necessary for assigned work
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk, stand and stoop for an extended period of time (over 80% of the time)
  • Exposure to a variety of chemicals and dust daily
  • May be exposed to the HBV and HIV viruses

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
