About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician II (Electrical Controls Technician II), you will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly by inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of station systems such as air systems, air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression, and prime movers ensuring compliance and proper operation. This role is crucial for maintaining gas delivery through the compressor station. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of directly relevant training and experience.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing to collect and relay basic facts.
  • Willing to assist with more complex tasks, equipment, and procedures.
  • Able to work with significant independence.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.
  • Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are valued.
  • Currently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician.
  • Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on electrical equipment such as motors, generators, pumps, fans, and switchgear.
  • Support the maintenance of control systems and field devices, including PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, sensors, switches, and actuators.
  • Assist with the upkeep of DC electrical systems such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters.
  • Monitor equipment for abnormal conditions and report issues clearly and accurately.
  • Follow safety programs, company procedures, and standard operating practices while working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work closely within a team, learning from experienced technicians and occasionally assisting contractors or other employees.
