Virginia St., Reno, NV 89506 Shift(s): Sunday to Wednesday - 2:00pm to 12:00am (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business) Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $28.77 - $35.96, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $35.96 - $43.15. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, or other forms of additional compensation, in accordance with applicable Company policies and law.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 3 years or greater related experience and/or training in mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • High voltage electrical experience is required.
  • Current Driver's License and clean driving record.

  • Utilize company tools and have the ability to purchase new tools as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls in distribution, shipping, and sorting environments, VFDs, and electronic motors (480V).
  • Possess knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PMs (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
  • Have the ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
  • Required to have mechanical and or electrical work experience.
  • Possess knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
  • Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
  • Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, as well as rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
  • From time to time, may be called in after hours to ensure MHS (conveyor) systems are working at optimum capacity.
  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
