About The Position

The Neighbor Service Technician I is responsible for efficiently performing all general maintenance tasks, including service requests and turnover functions, to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and provide a quality living environment for the Neighbors. This role is crucial for ensuring residents feel at home and proud to live in the community. Daily operations involve the timely completion of apartment turnovers and troubleshooting/repair of mechanical systems, including appliance repairs, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Must be available for on-call services.
• Minimum of two years experience and/or training in apartment maintenance.
• Ability to speak, communicate, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace including, but not limited to, English in order to maintain safety in the workplace and serve internal and external customers.
• Must possess basic computer proficiency.
• Understanding of building materials and tools.
• Requires standing, climbing, balancing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform all general maintenance tasks.
• Handle service requests and turnover functions.
• Maintain and preserve the Neighborhood.
• Provide a quality living environment for Neighbors.
• Ensure Neighbors feel at HOME, well-cared for, and genuinely proud to live in the Neighborhoods.
• Complete all phases of apartment turnovers.
• Troubleshoot and repair most major and all minor mechanical systems.
• Assist Neighbors with basic appliance repairs and installation.
• Assist Neighbors with basic plumbing.
• Assist Neighbors with basic carpentry.
• Assist Neighbors with basic electrical work.
• Assist Neighbors with basic painting.
