About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I performs general maintenance at the San Luis Bay Inn Resort, inspecting guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify and complete repairs, touch-ups, or replacements. The role uses basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills, along with hand and power tools. Accurate record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets. The resort offers training and opportunities to develop skills and build a career in hospitality.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience.
• Ability to stand, sit, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push or pull, and lift or carry items frequently throughout the workday.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 80 pounds; climb ladders up to 30 feet; and reach in all directions, including overhead.
• Ability to maintain detailed records in English.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas for items requiring repair.
• Repair, touch up, or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting, and other items.
• Use basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills to perform maintenance work.
• Keep detailed records in English using logs and inspection sheets.
