About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician I, you are the foundation of the maintenance team. You support property upkeep, complete routine repairs, and build essential trade skills that prepare you for advancement within multifamily maintenance. This role is crucial for maintaining property grounds and common areas, completing routine service requests and make-ready tasks, and performing minor repairs. You will also support inspections, preventative maintenance, and seasonal preparations, while responding to on-call and emergency service requests. Safety, compliance, and maintaining clean work areas are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 1+ year maintenance or porter experience (multifamily preferred).
  • Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or painting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs.
  • Understanding chemical safety procedures.
  • Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC Certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain property grounds and common areas.
  • Complete routine service requests and make-ready tasks.
  • Perform paint touch-ups and minor repairs.
  • Replace basic hardware, fixtures, screens, and outlets.
  • Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Support seasonal preparation and storm response.
  • Maintain clean work and storage areas.
  • Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.
  • Follow all company safety protocols.
  • Maintain a basic personal tool kit.
  • Complete required training and compliance courses.
  • This role may include additional duties consistent with the position.
