Maintenance Technician I
About The Position
Scottsdale Villa Mirage is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Tech I (Entry Level). This role involves inspecting guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas for repairs, touch-ups, or replacements of various items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, and grouting. The position requires knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades to visually inspect and detect items needing repair. Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical experience are frequently used. Performing these duties requires experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push, and pull weights up to 80 lbs. Additionally, the role involves climbing ladders up to 30 feet high and reaching in all directions, often overhead. Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets. Other duties may be assigned by management.
Requirements
- 0-6 months previous experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push/pull and lift/carry items frequently throughout the workday.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work PM shift: 3pm to 11pm.
- Ability to communicate well in English.
Responsibilities
- Inspect guestrooms, public spaces and back of the house areas to repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.
- Utilize knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades to visually inspect and detect items needing repair.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical tasks.
- Use basic hand and power tools.
- Stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push and pull weights up to 80 lbs.
- Climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often times overhead.
- Maintain detailed record keeping in English for logs and inspection sheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
