About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I works on the Facilities & Maintenance team at a luxury apartment community, supporting the upkeep and operation of the community and helping deliver a positive resident experience. The role completes resident service requests and apartment turns, maintains buildings and shared areas, and follows company safety standards when using tools and equipment. It also includes rotating emergency service calls and seasonal work such as pool maintenance and snow removal.

The position involves substantial mobility, manual dexterity, and physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds (sometimes more with assistance). Work takes place primarily on project work sites, with possible exposure to noise, chemicals, and temperature extremes. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of residential apartment or facilities management experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a strong customer experience.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to operate company equipment, including golf carts and maintenance vehicles.
• Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including walking, climbing, stooping, manual dexterity, and lifting up to 50 pounds (sometimes more with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work and service order requests or apartment turns in a timely manner while providing outstanding customer experiences.
• Assist with upkeep of community grounds, clubhouses, buildings, pools, and other common areas to meet company quality standards.
• Keep the work area clean and use company tools and equipment as directed and in accordance with safety standards.
• Handle emergency service calls on a rotational basis.
• Assist with seasonal tasks, including pool maintenance and snow removal during inclement weather.
• Maintain community cleanliness and curb appeal, including pet waste stations, pet waste removal, trash removal, and trash compaction as needed.
