About The Position

We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join the team at Club La Pension in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role supports company success by inspecting and maintaining guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. The technician performs a variety of repairs and touch-ups, using basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills, and keeps detailed logs and inspection records in English. The position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and moving items and climbing ladders.

Requirements

At least 6 months of previous experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to communicate well in English.
Ability to stand, sit, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push or pull, and lift or carry items frequently throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 80 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet and reach in all directions, including overhead.
Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
Experience using basic hand and power tools.
Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas for items needing repair.
Repair, touch up, or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting, and other items.
Use basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills in maintenance work.
Use basic hand and power tools to perform maintenance duties.
Keep detailed records in English for logs and inspection sheets.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
