About The Position

Mastronardi Produce is hiring a Maintenance Technician I for its Laredo Distribution Center, a 187,000-square-foot refrigerated facility operating 24/7. The role is responsible for general facility maintenance and sanitation and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Work is approximately 70% cleaning and maintenance and 30% adjusting and preparing production machines. The schedule is Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The work environment is a refrigerated warehouse averaging 50°F. The position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation, and regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and crawling. Requirements

At least 2 years of work experience as a maintenance technician.
Good working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
Team player with a positive work attitude.
Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and crawl regularly.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
Food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
Participate in preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance at the facility.
Ensure equipment, tools, and spare parts are available and secured when not in use.
Follow the tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
Perform housekeeping tasks, including power-washing, to help ensure the facility adheres to safe and healthy guidelines.
Adjust and prepare machines in production.
