MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I (SPRINGFIELD, MO)
About The Position
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work fully on-site at the 3M Plant in Springfield, MO. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Possess or in the last six (6) months of pursuing a two (2) year technical degree in a maintenance field in a private, public, government, or military industrial environment setting OR have five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Applicants meeting the basic qualifications may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process

Responsibilities
- Understanding and following all safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining electronic and electrical equipment and components
- Programing/troubleshooting using programming devices
- Installing/upgrading equipment
- Calibrating and verifying metrology equipment
- Complying with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties
- Contributing to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement
