About The Position

Raymond Central, with over 100 years of combined expertise, develops and deploys custom material handling solutions. As a certified Raymond dealer, the company offers new and pre-owned lift trucks and forklifts, parts, storage solutions, integrated systems, fleet management, and other services. Raymond Central is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform forklift maintenance at customer distribution centers in the Springfield, MO area. The role also requires obtaining Kardex Certification to support maintenance on Kardex equipment.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED
At least two (2) years of hands-on technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to climb ladders and/or work on elevated platforms that may be 15’ to 30’ in height

Nice To Haves

Strong mechanical aptitude & ability; basic knowledge of industrial electricity
Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications
Experience within the industrial maintenance, automotive, heavy equipment industries

Responsibilities

Maintain, service, and support material handling equipment, systems and products at the customer location in a timely and cost-effective manner so that all requirements are met.
Diagnose, trouble-shoot, and repair forklifts and other equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures; ensuring that positive relationships are established.
Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to established procedures and cost guidelines at customer’s facility.
Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely follow Mobile Tech Procedures as directed by management.
Account for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used as required.
Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.
Maintain the van’s interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.
Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities as required.
Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by the position.
Work with all departments and employees to ensure high quality customer service.
