About The Position

CSHA’s Maintenance Department ensures our tenants can reside in a safe, secure, and clean environment by delivering high quality work as they clean and repair our 9 buildings & scattered site homes according to HUD, NSPIRE, & CSHA policies and procedures. This is a full-time role for Maintenance Tech I (tasks are 70% janitorial & 30% repair work). Employees hired at this level will receive regular instruction and guidance for new or unusual tasks to gain an understanding of how to complete tasks according to the procedures and policies of HUD, NSPIRE, and CSHA. The responsibilities of this role include: Delivering exceptional customer service to all staff, tenants, and potential tenants. Please note our tenants do include low-income families, the disabled, elderly, and mentally ill. It is imperative for you to have a passion for servicing our tenants with respect. Complete assigned work orders and tasks that require entry level skills and techniques in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Maintain the upkeep of properties by completing the janitorial duties assigned by your supervisor. Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as required. Maintain work order records; file reports as needed; possess the ability to operate and adapt to the required technology provided. Be available for snow removal/emergency/disaster situations as necessary. Ensure adherence to safe work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards. Operate various hand and power tools and shop equipment, while observing safe work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check and drug test.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver License.
  • Must have the willingness to learn the task/responsibilities of the position and complete task assigned.
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Must pay close attention to details
  • Must have the ability to adapt to change and be flexible
  • Must be available to work on call after hours for snow removal/emergency/disaster situations as necessary.
