About The Position

This role is responsible for conducting all business in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations. The Maintenance Technician I will be aware of the condition of the building at all times and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition. This position will schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the management team, and communicate and coordinate with outside vendors regarding yearly maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire and sprinkler inspections, etc. The technician will inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition, perform work area clean-up and safety related duties, and organize and maintain storage areas. Reporting all major repairs to the management team is a key responsibility, as is moving furniture around the office as requested by management, and installing/wall-mounting white boards and computer monitors. Any other requests made by the management team or other company officials will also be handled as needed. The role requires clear communication with coworkers and outside vendors, responding to maintenance requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner, and maintaining punctuality and presence at work when scheduled. The ability to work independently and remain productive without direct supervision is essential.

  • Thorough knowledge of hand tools
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Appliances
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Stairs, gates, fences, porches railings
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Tile, carpet, and flooring
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Interior/exterior lights/ light bulbs
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Doors, cabinets, windows
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Ceiling leaks, ceiling tiles
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Walls (patching, repairing, painting)
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Plumbing (toilets, urinals, etc)
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Light electrical, such as changing light fixtures
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: A/C and heating system (changing filters)
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following: Stairs, gates, fences, porches railings
  • High level of proficiency in written, verbal, and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to plan and juggle multi‐task environment.
  • Must possess solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. information as required by daily operations.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a maintenance role.
  • Valid Drivers License with clean Motor Vehicle Record
