The Martino Group in Denton, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician I to play a vital role in the overall Class-A appeal of our properties that keeps our owners happy and retains tenants. The typical schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. We also have a rotating on-call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays. A Day in The Life of a Maintenance Technician As a Maintenance Technician, you execute a wide range of routine and preventative tasks involved with basic property maintenance such as interior and exterior painting, replacing lightbulbs, checking emergency lighting, and replacing filters. You also quickly respond to resident requests to repair entry gates/doors, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, and appliances. As you complete property maintenance, you always provide exceptional customer service. And you take pride in preparing apartments for new tenants. Each shift brings a combination of daily checklists, occasional tasks, and unexpected surprises. You love that you are never bored! Requirements

  • General maintenance in a property management environment
  • 2+ years of basic property/general facility maintenance experience
  • Must have a satisfactory background check and drug screen
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
  • Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Deadline and detailed oriented
  • Ability to deal well with people
  • Must have own tools and reliable transportation
  • Have strong knowledge in all areas of property maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Painting experience
  • EPA Universal certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance to the property.
  • Interior and exterior painting
  • Repairs such as sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, appliances
  • Replace light bulbs and check emergency lighting
  • Check and repair entry gates/doors as needed
  • Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete all make-ready maintenance to The Martino Group standards.
  • Touch-up paint
  • Replace light bulbs as needed
  • Check all appliances are functioning properly
  • Complete the TMG Makeready Checklist to TMG ‘White Glove Standards’
  • Maintain property equipment.
  • Replace filters
  • Repair or replace appliances
  • Adhere to the Company’s safety program, policies, and procedures
  • Complete two TMG University classes, or other assigned training, per quarter
  • Participate in the Company’s training classes, as required
  • All other items requested by supervisor
