About The Position
This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of the property. The Maintenance Technician I will address resident requests for maintenance and repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with various repair projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair common maintenance issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and bending.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with property maintenance software.
- HVAC certification.
- Experience in a residential property setting.
Responsibilities
- Respond to resident requests for maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Assist with various repair projects, including carpentry, painting, and drywall.
- Ensure the property grounds and common areas are well-maintained.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
