About The Position

Covenant Place in Chapel Hill is seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician to support building maintenance, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, work orders, and general facility repairs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and keeping a community safe, functional, and comfortable. The technician will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, perform maintenance tasks according to procedures and schedules, and respond to requests from residents and staff.

Requirements

Experience in facility maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general repairs.
Dependable and hands-on.

Responsibilities

Maintains mechanical and electrical equipment in operable conditions.
Performs maintenance tasks in accordance with procedures and preventative maintenance schedule.
Responds to maintenance requests by Residents and Staff.
Maintains storage and mechanical areas in clean, orderly manner.
Assists in removal of trash and debris.
Maintains interior and exterior of all buildings.
Moves furniture as directed.
Maintains lighting in working order.
Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies.
Constructs, repairs and maintains structures; such as, equipment, partitions and other parts of buildings, using hand and power tools according to written and oral instructions.
Performs electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, plaster, repairs and plumbing tasks as directed.
Performs periodic inspections of property, plant and equipment.
Performs landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, hedging, weeding, spreading fertilizer, mulch, sowing grass, setting out plants, watering, trimming of trees and shrubs.
