About The Position

The 1st-Shift Facility Maintenance Technician provides general upkeep and basic repairs for plant and office facilities, primarily at the Andover facility, while also supporting additional buildings as needed. Working the M-TH 1st Shift, this position handles routine facilities issues and basic equipment troubleshooting ranging from electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks. Follows work orders and or other general instructions, conducts inspections, logs completed work, and offers limited janitorial support (e.g., trash removal, floor cleaning) when workload permits or support is required.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED
Can work independently and efficiently
Demonstrate basic critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient with hand/power tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems
Lifting up to 50 lb
Climbing ladders
Working in confined spaces
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
Must be US Citizen
Active Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain
Interim clearance is required to start position
No degree required, high school diploma okay
2+ years maintenance experience
2+ years facilities experience
2+ years experience with general maintenance experience

Nice To Haves

Trade certification or 1–2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience preferred
