About The Position

The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance and which may include HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water and/or equipment. The incumbent is under the direction of the Supervisor; the incumbent also responds to all General Maintenance service calls. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring events are set up per diagrams. Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service. Responsible for overall maintenance, upkeep and repairs of facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of maintenance job experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
  • Knowledge of machines and equipment including but not limited to; basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc.
  • Knowledge of safe use of hazardous materials.
  • Must know how to operate an aerial lift.
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
  • Follow oral and written directions.
  • Must have exceptional guest service skills.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance including HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water and/or equipment.
  • Respond to all General Maintenance service calls.
  • Ensure events are set up per diagrams.
  • Climb extension ladders to 20+ feet.
  • Perform minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry equipment and systems.
  • Perform event setups and teardowns in a safe, timely manner.
  • Move furniture and equipment as directed.
  • Support other departmental events as directed.
  • Install and make repairs to doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring and other related items.
  • Prep and prepare drywall for painting.
  • Paint and stain walls, furniture and other associated items.
  • Create service requests for purposes of documenting work performed.
  • Complete all work orders assigned in a timely manner.
  • Document all work on a daily basis.
  • Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and adhere to all Virginia Lottery Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
