About The Position

The role will partner with our Engineering team in repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment and assisting other trade mechanics in their duties to ensure a clean, safe, and well-managed property for our evening shift. The ideal candidate is responsible, consistent, and diligent. This position will report to the Director of Engineering and lead the evening shift from 1:30-10:00 pm Monday-Friday, including alternating weekends and holidays. The pay range is between $45,000-55,000 a year based on experience. We seek to fill this role as soon as possible for the right individual.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical and mechanical work.
  • Skill in using various trade tools, including both hand and electric tools.
  • Basic aptitude for and ability to operate and repair equipment.
  • Ability to perform essential arithmetic functions.
  • Ability to move and work throughout the resort for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods with the ability to extend arms overhead.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 75 lbs. waist high.
  • TX driver's license with a clean record

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with and under the direction of the chief engineer and outside contractors as necessary to assist with repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine minor and moderate repairs and maintenance duties assigned, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical work.
  • Change filters on all supply air fans and fan coil units.
  • Clean all mechanical spaces, ceiling diffusers, return air registers, and toilet exhausts.
  • Respond to guest requests for maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, etc.
  • Maintained and treat pool water with chemicals, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
  • Check arrival rooms thoroughly, following the guest arrival rooms list.
  • Work daily in vacant rooms using the Rooms Tour punch list.
  • Complete all Maintenance Request forms promptly.
  • Receive and distribute deliveries.
  • Assist with guest luggage and room service as needed.
  • Report any unusual person or activity to a supervisor or front desk.
  • Other duties as assigned.
