About The Position

The Maintenance Technician, skilled in electronics and control programs, has a significant impact on equipment utilization and reliability at Monoflo. Having the ability to read schematics, diagnose PLC programs, utilize software to support troubleshooting, identify improvements, and implement root cause solutions ensures we are operating equipment at optimum conditions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and use of various tools to locate information.
  • Allen Bradley, Siemens and other PLC program experience required.
  • Working knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Read and create diagrams and schematics.
  • Utilizes computers and data systems to compile/analyze/visualize information.
  • Ability to make intelligent and independent judgement calls.
  • Clear verbal and written communication required.
  • Improvement focused mindset with attention to detail.
  • Allen Bradley software including CCW, RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FTViewStudio
  • Siemens software including TIA Portal, Step 7 and WinCC
  • Communication software including Prosoft, Anybus and RSLinx
  • Drive software including Baumuller Prodrive, Studio5000, Drive Executive, CCW and Vectron Inverter Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard wiring practices and interconnect systems. Including connectors, cabling, components and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical controls, and electrical distribution.
  • Perform troubleshooting on EtherNet/IP, CANopen, Profinet, Modbus and implement corrective actions.
  • Understand and utilize FANUC and Wittmann robot programming software
  • Understand and configure network and USB drivers.
  • Safely diagnose and repair DC and AC systems <1000V.
  • Utilize PCs to input, monitor, and complete work orders.
  • Utilize PCs to locate, read and understand technical documents.
  • Ability to read and write schematics.
  • Verify and update electrical documentation and equipment software.
  • Understand robotic control systems ex. Axis control and force/distance monitoring.
  • Contribute to projects, upgrades, installations of equipment.
  • Provide coaching to technicians to develop skills in control systems.
  • Document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Complete work orders consistent with expectations while continuously striving to improve our position as a World-Class Manufacturer.
  • Identify and initiate improvements to increase equipment OEE and uptime.
  • Communicate with vendors for troubleshooting, parts, and improvements.
  • Full computer skills to use software for programming, internal and external communication, tracking changes, explaining issues/solution ideas, building personal capability (learning).
