About The Position

A Maintenance Technician (Dock) is responsible for the upkeep of the property facilities, including guest rooms, cottages, RV sites, public amenity areas, and business offices. They are skilled in a variety of areas including plumbing, locksmithing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Duties include responding to guest requests, repairing breaks, maintaining inventory, and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Dependable, punctual, impeccable attendance record.
  • Accurate, attention to detail, problem solving skills, service oriented.
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with other employees and guests on the property.
  • Ability to work outdoors during a variety of weather environments.
  • Must be able to work on feet for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a license background check as part of the hiring process.
  • Must maintain a valid motor vehicle record (MVR) throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, replace, and repair wall molding, caulking, and drywall damage.
  • Install, service, replace, and repair counter tops and cabinets.
  • Install, service, replace, and repair window screens, runners, stripping, curtain bars, and blinds.
  • Service and repair irrigation systems.
  • Install, service, replace, and repair interior and exterior doors.
  • Service and repair electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches and fuses.
  • Service and repair light fixtures.
  • Service and repair HVAC systems.
  • Service and repair appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers.
  • Service and repair toilets, sinks, vanities and disposals.
  • Perform pest control and removal.
  • Service and repair fencing.
  • Service and repair gutters, downspouts and connecting hoses.
  • Clean drains and sewer lines up to 4”.
  • Operate a golf cart.
