About The Position

FEUER Powertrain North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician with Certified Electrician skills to maintain, service, repair, and overhaul equipment. This role involves analyzing errors and failures of equipment using diagnostic systems, determining the nature and extent of defects, and implementing repairs economically. The technician will also adjust machine controls, analyze and correct machining programs, and perform test runs with appropriate documentation. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repair/assembly work, making extensions and modifications to plans, drawings, and instructions, determining assembly sequences, and procuring parts. The role also involves making spare parts, accessories, and auxiliary equipment, analyzing and eliminating flaws, and contributing to efficient maintenance and upkeep to meet standards. The technician will create new systems and extensions according to predefined plans and instruct apprentices, trainees, and new employees as needed. Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Basic troubleshooting skills of machinery
  • Basic understanding of tools
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (12 hours max)

Nice To Haves

  • Siemens S 7 knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Analyze errors and failures of equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic components and electrical/electronic systems by using diagnostic systems.
  • Determine the nature and extent of defects and repair damage economically.
  • Make suggestions to repair defects and implement the repaired equipment into operation.
  • Adjust machine controls.
  • Analyze and correct machining programs, position teaching (robot, loader arms, laser).
  • Perform test runs and create appropriate documentation.
  • Perform maintenance and repair/assembly work.
  • Extensions and modifications to plans, drawings, and instructions.
  • Determine assembly sequences and procure or arrange procurement of parts.
  • Make spare parts, accessories, and auxiliary equipment according to drawing sketches designs or instructions.
  • Analyze and eliminate flaws and/or assist in developing solutions to eliminate flaws.
  • Measures for efficient maintenance/upkeep and contributes to meet maintenance standards.
  • Create new systems and extensions according to predefined plans.
  • Instruct apprentices, trainees, and new employees as needed.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
