About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks on plant equipment, with a specific focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical and PLC systems. The technician will work as part of a team to conduct Preventive Maintenance Activities and respond to breakdowns in a production environment. The goal is to leverage maintenance knowledge to enhance productivity and reduce downtime and waste, while adhering to all safety and company policies, including lock-out tag-out procedures.

Requirements

1+ Year(s) experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, conveyors, controls, Operating Systems, or other electrical equipment.
Current third grade Stationary Engineer license or boiler license.
Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Authorized to work in the US.
Proficient at working with PLCs.
Ability to read electrical blueprints/schematics.
Basic computer skills for diagnostic equipment.

Nice To Haves

A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades.
Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry.
Electrical or PLC certification.
Experience with drives/PLCs from the following manufacturers: Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze.
Basic understanding of ladder logic.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on plant equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and PLC systems.
Work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities.
Answer break down calls in a Production Environment.
Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
Follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.
