About The Position

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment at our Yesway and Allsup’s locations and serves as a subject matter expert in general maintenance functions including, but not limited to: light electrical, light carpentry, plumbing, HVAC\R and foodservice\beverage equipment. Facilitates and inspects work performed by 3rd party vendors. Ensures a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Accurately maintains inventory and tools on company provided vehicle. Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently manage, track, and close work orders, update asset records, and monitor repair history. Participates in training to keep up to date on how to manage existing and new equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensure each job is completed in a quality, cost-effective, and timely manner with exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Three to five years’ experience in the maintenance field.
  • Experience or training in one of the following fields: HVAC/R, Plumbing, Electrical, or Foodservice/Beverage repair.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use hand/electric cart, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, and able to use a ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable as a driver.
  • Must have EPA 608 Type I & II certifications OR EPA 608 Universal HVAC certification, or the willingness to obtain certification within a timeframe designated by management.
