About The Position

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as perform facilities maintenance activities. This position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. The role also participates in and supports health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements. Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
3–5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
A college degree or certificate in a technical area or related field.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery and equipment, and perform timely repairs.
Establish appropriate frequencies and perform regular preventive maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
Perform timely facility and building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired equipment.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services.
Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
Participate in, support, and comply with health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
