About The Position

Nutra Blend, an industry leader in manufacturing and distributing vitamin, trace mineral, micro-ingredient, and antibiotic premixes for the feed industry, is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The technician installs, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment, working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Logical thinking and troubleshooting skills are important to the safe and efficient operation of the facility. The position is primarily on the second shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with coverage on other shifts as needed. The listed wage range is $30.60–$36.60 per hour. Applicants must pass a post-offer background check and pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Requirements

At least 6 months of industrial maintenance experience, knowledge, or education.
Basic computer skills.
At least 18 years of age.
Knowledge of how to inspect equipment and detect faults or malfunctions.
Ability to diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment.
Experience composing understandable technical reports.
Familiarity with performing regular machine maintenance.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills.
Reliable time management, coordination, and ability to adjust to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
Ability to meet the physical requirements described for production positions, including frequent movement, lifting, climbing, and working while wearing personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair facility and production equipment.
Inspect machinery for proper performance and identify faults or malfunctions.
Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment and determine required repairs.
Perform regular machine maintenance and corrections or alterations as needed.
Write technical reports that can be understood by people without a technical background.
Follow safety practices to protect oneself and coworkers.
Complete assigned tasks reliably, adapt to changing priorities, and work with others to meet team goals.
