About The Position

Mercy Retirement & Care Center, a leader in senior care for over 150 years, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Oakland, CA campus. The center provides assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services, focusing on exceptional, person-centered care. Requirements

Must be at least eighteen years of age.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
A minimum of 1 year of building maintenance work experience.
Completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

Formal training in vocational school or trade apprenticeship program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, following established procedures.
Prepare and organize materials and equipment before starting tasks.
Report equipment or items needing immediate repair to the supervisor.
Respond to occasional building emergencies as directed by the supervisor.
Report all incidents and accidents to the supervisor.
Perform daily rounds and checks of various systems as assigned, including maintaining related records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
