About The Position

Join our EPIC team at Cascade Senior Care Center! The Maintenance / Facilities Assistant will assist the Maintenance Director and the Housekeeping & Laundry Director in the completion of day-to-day activities involving all environmental services of the facility, equipment and machinery - including HVAC, lighting systems, groundskeeping, and overall facility appearance. This position will assist other maintenance and groundskeeping staff, and assist in planning the services with outside vendors and contractors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
• Basic computer skills; experience utilizing electronic work orders a plus.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Assist with routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repair on the facility equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical.
• Ensure that equipment and supplies are in good working order, maintained, used, cleaned, and stored safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility policies.
• Assist with ordering and help maintain adequate level of supplies for the housekeeping department in a cost effective and efficient manner.
