About The Position
Candidates who enjoy wrenching and solving puzzles, apply now! No experience with manufacturing maintenance required! Sumitomo is looking for a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team! Wage range is based on experience! With limited supervision and technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanicals in good working order. Troubleshoot and problem-solve various manufacturing machines.
Requirements
- Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
- General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs+
Nice To Haves
- Preventive industrial maintenance experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with CNC grinding, machining equipment, or HVAC a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
- May occasionally make replacement parts
- Clean filters and general PM on coolant systems and mist collection components
- Changing or adding oils and lubricants to production equipment
- General cleaning and organization of tools and maintenance area
- May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
