About The Position
To plan, coordinate control, and perform, Facility Maintenance operations within a specified portion (Zone) of PHS-A facilities, as they currently exist, and provide for an uninterrupted flow of utilities based upon existing design criteria. Major emphasis shall be placed upon preventative and predictive maintenance. The Mechanic shall be capable of working with little or no supervision, and limited direction from specialized trades.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- At least 3 to 5 years of general maintenance or specialized mechanical trade experience preferably in Healthcare industry.

Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fixtures and equipment within an assigned Zone, ensuring all work aligns with Facility Services SOPs.
- Repair, lubricate, and adjust hospital equipment to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Independently prioritize tasks.
- Monitor the performance of building and utility systems.
- Uphold all PHS and departmental policies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning through training and in-service programs.
- Understand departmental budgets with the ability to recommend cost-saving measures.
- Serve as a maintenance resource for departments within the Zone.
- Support organizational values and strategies.
- Conduct daily rounds.
- Maintain and replace filters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
