About The Position
Kreider Farms is hiring a Maintenance Tech to support its Milk Processing Plant in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to support reliable plant operations and minimize downtime. The schedule is four 10-hour overnight shifts per week: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems.
- Three years of industrial maintenance experience, including mechanical/electrical, general maintenance, robotics, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications, such as Electrical Technician or Mechanical Technician.
- Previous dairy or fluid processing experience.
- Experience in sanitary or food manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.
- Maintain machinery and equipment through lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
