About The Position

This is a hands-on, full-time position responsible for maintaining all physical and mechanical aspects of the property. The maintenance tech takes action to ensure that all individual and common area systems are functioning properly, collaborating with the Community Manager to set a plan for the day, which includes unit turns, work order completions, and community appearance. The role involves working with the maintenance lead and staff to complete preventative maintenance as scheduled, utilizing property management software and a mobile maintenance app to receive, log, and complete work orders. Responsibilities also include assisting with maintenance in various areas of the property, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and managing parts and supply inventory.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Driver license required.
3+ year of experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent role is required.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses and buildings.
Must have a clean driving record, maintain current vehicle insurance, and be able to pass insurability guidelines.

Nice To Haves

A post-secondary trade certification in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other building trades certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the property management software and mobile maintenance app to receive, log, and complete work orders as assigned.
Assists with maintenance in the shop, garages, mechanical rooms, and storage areas.
Assists in maintaining all vehicles and equipment, assuring that all are functioning, safe, and clean.
Maintains parts and supply inventory, keep inventory orderly and organized, alert Maintenance Lead and/or Community Manager when supply is running low.
Assists with other duties as assigned.
