The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team: Brief Department Description RTX Raytheon Real Estate Services has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the Chesapeake Bay Va site. What will you do: The position focus will be to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all infrastructure systems including HVAC, Chilled Water Distribution, pumps, motors, and frontend Building automation controls. In this role you need to perform as a first night shift compressed facilities mechanic supporting plant operations. This role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts in order to cover the site 24/7 from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. Provide coverage and support for the facility days/nights/weekends if business, schedule, or emergency situations arise. What type of experience will be gained through this position The hired applicant will learn how to manage facilities operations in a 2 Million square foot manufacturing building. They will gain technical experience working alongside senior mechanics and contractors. They will also learn to troubleshoot large infrastructure equipment and controls.

Requirements

  • This role typically requires an HS Diploma or GED or AA/AS degree (or another 2 year post HS training) and 4 or more years of relevant experience
  • At least 4 years’ experience in (three or more) of the following areas: HVAC and Building Automation Controls Maintenance of pumps, motors, valve and actuator operation Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems Refrigeration cycles
  • At least 2 years’ experience with and strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics as well as knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation

Nice To Haves

  • Computer acumen to include a strong understanding of the function and application of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.
  • Customer Focused with strong Oral/ Written Communication skills
  • Expertise in Electrical, VFD's and motor controls and leading team members
  • PLC controls troubleshooting
  • Journeyman level license in relevant field
