About The Position

The purpose of the Machinist position is to support the Maintenance Department. The Machinist will make various parts using machine shop equipment. This position will work closely with Engineering and Production to support line objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited organization
• Minimum 2 years of KYB experience or equivalent work experience required
• Must have mechanical experience
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with other departments is required
• Must be able to maintain a clean and neat work environment
• Ability to adapt in constantly changing situations is a must
• Use of hand tools will be required to perform some of the tasks
• Good documentation of completed work will be required
• Ability to manage time effectively and multitask is also important
• Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time
• Bending, kneeling, and squatting are required to perform tasks
• A lot of hand tool work, light repetitive lifting and some medium lifting up to 40 lbs is required with or without reasonable accommodations
• Good personal hygiene is a must
• Protective clothing must be worn
• Required PPE must be worn without exception

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with MP2 is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ability to be certified and maintain certificate as a fork truck operator
• Complete any required preventative maintenance and scheduled work orders
• Ability to operate and hold tolerances on surface grinder, Mill, Lathe, Drill press, etc
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
• Other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager on an as needed basis
• Provide support as needed and complete many tasks with minimal supervision
• Complete routine tasks and preventative maintenance daily, weekly, and monthly as needed
• Maintain all equipment through preventative maintenance and repair as needed
