About The Position

This is a third (3rd) shift position responsible for maintaining all equipment and facilities, performing scheduled PM checks and procedures, and assisting with set up and change overs. The role requires adherence to all Multimatic New Haven Safety practices, policies & procedures. Multimatic is a global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry, with facilities around the world. Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field and/or other related formal course work or equivalent years of experience in this or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical & welding
  • Excellent trouble-shooting/problem solving skills & experience
  • Ability to read and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and seal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to work without close supervision

Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to all Multimatic New Haven Safety practices, policies & procedures
  • Machine diagnostics/trouble-shooting & repair
  • Machine installation & set up procedures
  • Perform welding & fabrication as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) procedures related to all manufacturing equipment
  • Perform all facility related repairs and/or project work as assigned
  • Responsible for completing and turning in all maintenance related documentation including but not limited to daily log sheets for TPM’s and all required Control Plans and Downtime logs
  • Coordinate with other resources (Supervisors/Managers) time, material and equipment required to perform necessary work as needed
  • Must be self-driven; with minimal supervision
  • Have or acquire all hands tools to perform the job
