About The Position

Fisher Barton is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 for their 1st shift. This role involves maintaining and repairing Electrical, PLCs, Hydraulics, and Mechanical device systems, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting facility and emergency maintenance systems. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning about and using the latest gadgets, possesses strong technical and mechanical skills, can keep detailed records, analyze difficult situations, solve problems quickly, comply with maintenance standards, and work effectively both independently and in a team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience as a maintenance technician
  • Experience performing equipment repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Able to read and understand instructions and apply job requirements to ensure quality
  • Able to read, write, and communicate English effectively
  • Adept with basic mathematics

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in troubleshooting problems to rapidly obtain successful outcomes
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Windows)
  • Able to work well with personnel from all levels in all functions of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
  • Read PM procedures, interpret basic engineering drawings and schematics, and understand statistical process trends
  • Understand and follow maintenance specific work instructions to inspect, test, measure, repair, and replace mechanical equipment
  • Complete daily maintenance tasks
  • Log time, task completion, and PM results throughout the day using a computer
  • Execute tasks and responsibilities as required by the Preventive Maintenance System
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and complete Maintenance documentation
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineering & leads/supervisors to continually improve the safety of our environment, the quality of our products, the efficiency & utilization of our processes & equipment
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and training
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area
