About The Position

National Vision is seeking Maintenance Technicians for its growing optical manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for servicing and maintaining lab equipment, including performing preventive maintenance, responding to work orders, and helping minimize production downtime. Technicians service equipment such as edgers, generators, and blockers; clean equipment, change parts, conduct checks, calibrate equipment, identify issues, and make repairs. The position also assists with equipment and systems installations, fabrication, and servicing. Technicians must follow safety measures, including lockout/tagout procedures, and use personal protective equipment when required.

The first-shift schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; maintenance schedules may vary slightly. Base pay is determined by experience (DOE), with additional biweekly bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of previous experience in industrial maintenance, such as electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, or HVAC.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience is desired.
• Optical industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain preventive-maintenance checklists.
• Handle work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production downtime.
• Service and maintain edgers, generators, and blockers.
• Clean equipment, change parts, perform checks, and calibrate equipment.
• Identify issues and perform repairs.
• Assist with installations, fabrication, and servicing other equipment and systems in the lab.
• Follow safety measures and lockout/tagout procedures, and use PPE when required.
