About The Position

The Oxford Commons Maintenance Tech is responsible for administering all necessary services to maintain and enhance the value, operating efficiency, and the physical appearance of the property. This role involves providing prompt and courteous responses to property work order requests, maintaining ethical and professional relationships with staff, vendors, and tenants, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The position requires performing all maintenance activities safely and responding appropriately to emergencies. The Maintenance Tech will operate, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

  • Skilled in HVAC Maintenance
  • Arborist or skilled in maintenance of landscape, trees, scrubs, and plants
  • Experience with Plumbing (Restroom fixtures, unstop drains)
  • Experience with Electrical (lights and lighting ballasts, wall receptacles, switches, circuit breakers, mechanical parts such as fuses and starters, magnetic starters, controls components, emergency generator, emergency power distribution)
  • Experience with A/C Controls (thermostats, cold deck sensors and/or controllers)

Nice To Haves

  • Trade Certifications or Certificates are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer all necessary services to maintain and enhance the value, operating efficiency, and physical appearance of the property.
  • Provide prompt and courteous response to property work order requests within the guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with Property Staff, vendors/contractors, peers, and tenants.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and regional policies, as well as City, State, and Federal OSHA safety and environmental laws, codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Perform all maintenance activities in a safe manner.
  • Respond appropriately to and assist emergency response personnel, at any time when on duty or on call.
  • Ensure compliance with the emergency procedures for each property in conjunction with local jurisdiction and property management guidelines.
  • Operate, and perform maintenance and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC related equipment as outlined by the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and replacement of building components including but not limited to: Building Furnishings, Plumbing, Electrical, and A/C Controls.
  • Take initiative on problems and special needs of the property.
