About The Position

Little Rapids Corporation (LRC) is looking for a Maintenance Tech at our facility in Green Bay, WI. LRC has two divisions, Graham Professional, converting paper products for the medical and beauty industries, and Rapids Paper + Packaging, uniting Shawano Specialty Papers and Nexxa – Print Division under a single brand. Rapids Paper + Packaging brings together specialty paper, flexible packaging, advanced printing, and fuctional coating technologies. This position is for night shift.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and physical
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 3 -5 Years experience in manufacturing environment with focus on electrical or mechanical work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand electrical components, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams drives and PLC’s.
  • Able to run basic machine shop, fabrication equipment and hand tools
  • Self-motivated, but also able to work as an effective team member

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Degree in mechanical, trades, or documented training within areas of maintenance, or Journeyman status preferred.
  • Maintenance experience on converting equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a clean and orderly work area
  • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime on short notice including emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment that may involve all days of the week
  • Perform various skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as needed
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance routes on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment, as needed, to perform the jobs as needed
  • Participate in continuous education and training, as needed, to remain competent in all areas of the maintenance field.
  • All other assignments assigned by management.
