About The Position

We are looking for a Maintenance Tech to join our team located in Zanesville, OH. This is a 1st shift position with hourly pay ranging from $24.00 - $30.00 per hour. The shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am-2:30pm, and Friday hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm. This role operates within a small facility that benefits from the resources and support of a large organization.

Requirements

  • Understand and follow OSHA guidelines and industrial standards including Arc Flash training and NFPA guidelines.
  • Knowledge and use of advanced trades mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and wire simple circuits in various voltages AC/DC.
  • Troubleshooting of PLC and PC based controls.
  • Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments, personal computer and specific software application programs of a technical nature involving a thorough technical skills knowledge plus the application of basic theory.
  • Basic welding skills (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Use of torches is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics principles and concepts.
  • Ability to work at various heights using scissor lift or boom lift.
  • Equivalent to a completed accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft, or occupation; or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education.
  • Experience with 480-volt 3 phase AC, Motor Controls, and voltages down to 24-volt DC.
  • Minimum 5 years or more of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 5 years of experience with Plastic Blow Mold and Injection Machines, induction heating equipment.
  • Prefer 2 or more years working with Metal Presses, Stamping, Tool & Die, and other Metal forming equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform duties using proper PPE to maintain and repair facility and plant machinery, equipment, power tools, hand tools, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, and other building maintenance necessary inside and outside the plant.
  • Check all lights, heat/air conditioning, ovens, and boiler upon entering the plant each day to assure that they are working satisfactorily.
  • Diagnose any malfunctions and make the necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Use computer skills to navigate Online MMS system daily to receive work requests and PMs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and mechanical systems for the facility and the production equipment, safely using LOTO procedures and wearing correct PPE.
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Work with Engineering and Outside Contractors to safely install any new machinery, including all electrical work necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis following machine manufacturers' suggestions and written procedures.
  • Properly maintain all assigned equipment; meet efficiency and productivity standards set up for the position.
  • Be knowledgeable of and perform duties according to applicable ISO 9001 Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform duties related to fundamentals of rigging and lifting equipment, overhead hoist, and cranes.
  • Be able and willing to learn new skills and various other trades.
  • Work off shifts and/or overtime, not limited to weekends or holidays, to complete tasks or job assignments as needed.
