About The Position

Precision Pumping Systems (PPS), a family-owned manufacturing business since 1972, is seeking talented individuals to join their growing team. This role is a dual Maintenance Tech/Mechanical Assembler position, involving basic building and equipment maintenance for facilities in Boise and Picabo, ID (with minimal travel), and assisting on the production line. The company is looking to increase its labor force to meet production demands driven by the sales of their popular turn-key pump stations.

Requirements

Carpentry skills
Plumbing skills
HVAC knowledge
Fabrication skills
CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
Mechanical knowledge
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Ability to work on ladders
Understanding of accepted trade practices
Demonstrated job history or described experience

Responsibilities

Maintain company vehicles and shop equipment.
Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
Operate heavy equipment including Skid Steer, forklifts, manual transmission heavy vehicles, trailers, and boom trucks.
Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
Maintain the building's HVAC equipment to ensure proper climate control.
Paint the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
Assist in renovations of Company buildings/interiors.
Assist in the care of company lawns/grounds.
Assemble pumping stations per schematics, prints, and wiring diagrams.
Verify work and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Report non-conformances to area leads or supervisors.
Follow company guidelines and SOPs to ensure quality standards are achieved.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Utilize safe, quality practices and systems at all times.
Maintain an organized, clean work area.
Record time for jobs.
