About The Position

Master Level- responsible for ensuring that the assigned department(s) are maintained in good working order in a manner that prevents disruption of the site’s operation and in accordance with OSHGA safety standards. The Maintenance Technician ensures implementation of short- and long-term strategies for preventive maintenance scheduling and execution, for timely corrective maintenance actions, and for general site maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of mechanical/electrical manufacturing experience
  • 20+ years in plumbing, electrical, and structures
  • Knowledge of equipment including machinery, building, computer systems, safety and security systems
  • Knowledge and understanding functions of how boiler’s operation and maintenance
  • Ability to operate a computer using MD Products
  • Physically capable and available to work some weekends and/or varied shifts
  • Some knowledge of PLC’s and HMIs
  • PLC, capable of edits, design, and repair
  • Understanding of how to adjust the program
  • Review technical drawings, and schematics
  • Testing electronics and basic digital electronics
  • Understanding the difference between AC/DC when troubleshooting
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace
  • Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with and oversees and participates in the maintenance
  • hydraulic systems
  • Strong background in electro-mechanical process
  • Some experience of automatic processing system

Responsibilities

  • Ensures implementation of short- and long-term strategies for preventive maintenance scheduling and execution
  • Ensures timely corrective maintenance actions
  • Addresses general site maintenance needs
  • Oversees and participates in the maintenance
  • Documents any issue and create new work orders
  • Other duties as assigned
