About The Position

The Maintenance Tech – Level 3 role is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks within an industrial electrical and facility setting. This position requires adherence to safety guidelines, interpretation of work orders, and collaboration within a team environment. The role involves maintaining inventories, fabricating and installing various structures, scheduling work orders, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. Additionally, the Level 3 technician will mentor junior technicians and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workspace and equipment.

Requirements

  • Intermediate ability to use all hand tools, wrenches, etc.
  • Intermediate ability to use all power tools
  • Intermediate ability to use diagnostic tools (amp probes, voltage meters)
  • Intermediate ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers, calipers, comparators
  • Intermediate ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills
  • Intermediate ability to read and interpret work instructions and intermediate prints and dimensions
  • GED or High School diploma required
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
  • Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials.
  • Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane, boom lift and manlift.
  • Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 to10 years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Correctly interpret work order.
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories (critical parts, supplies, etc.)
  • Maintain and repair industrial electrical circuits.
  • Ability to fabricate and install guards, steps, handrails, platforms, etc.
  • Ability to enter and schedule work orders
  • Ability to identify and implement preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform all levels of facility maintenance tasks
  • Mentor and train level 1 and level 2 maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
