About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep MHA properties safe, functional, and well-maintained. You'll perform repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and property upkeep that support quality affordable housing throughout Missoula.

Requirements

  • Experience in residential, commercial, property, or general maintenance
  • Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and basic electrical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
  • Comfort using smartphones, computers, and maintenance software
  • Ability to perform physical work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders, preventative maintenance, and special projects
  • Repair plumbing, appliances, electrical fixtures, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and other building systems
  • Paint, perform minor concrete and masonry repairs, and maintain boilers and furnaces
  • Prepare units for new residents, including turnovers and cleaning support
  • Perform landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal
  • Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance concerns
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, equipment, inventory, and work order records
  • Work with contractors and team members to complete projects
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation (approximately 4-5 times per year)
