About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep MHA properties safe, functional, and well-maintained. You'll perform repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and property upkeep that support quality affordable housing throughout Missoula.

Requirements

Experience in residential, commercial, property, or general maintenance
Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and basic electrical systems
Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
Comfort using smartphones, computers, and maintenance software
Ability to perform physical work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Complete work orders, preventative maintenance, and special projects
Repair plumbing, appliances, electrical fixtures, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and other building systems
Paint, perform minor concrete and masonry repairs, and maintain boilers and furnaces
Prepare units for new residents, including turnovers and cleaning support
Perform landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal
Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance concerns
Maintain tools, vehicles, equipment, inventory, and work order records
Work with contractors and team members to complete projects
Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation (approximately 4-5 times per year)
